brooks hall
A $28.8-million renovation created new computer and virtual reality labs and included a “green roof” planted with vegetation to reduce heating and cooling energy usage. A new 350-seat lecture hall features “smart” technology such as an interactive response system.
Brooks Hall, the new home of Geology and Geography, is an amazing place to work and study as I pursue my PhD in geography. The state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, and technology resources give me the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research topics
- Susan Bergeron, geography major
  • Brooks Hall was opened in 1950 as the biology building
  • It was named after the four Brooks brothers who had been associated with WVU and biology in West Virginia.
